Fast and Fair Award: Celebrating renewables for local benefit and innovation
The Fast and Fair Renewables Award is now accepting applications! This Award aims to recognise and celebrate renewable energy projects that prove that the speed of energy transition goes hand-in-hand with social justice, environmental stewardship, and genuine community engagement.
It is steered by the Fast and Fair renewables and grid initiative that gathers a wide variety of actors relevant to renewable projects implementation. The projects awarded will thus embody the notion that cooperation across stakeholders is needed to advance together in decarbonising the energy system whilst making it more affordable and beneficial for all. The award spotlights projects that reflect the five Fast & Fair principles that have been agreed upon by different sectoral stakeholders: local influence, local value, transparency, nature positivity and community-led initiatives empowerment.

- Demonstrate the value of and the need to mainstream the Fast and Fair principles by showcasing practical and replicable examples that prioritise multi-stakeholder cooperation

- Attend the award ceremony at the WindEurope Annual Conference 21-23 April 2026, Madrid, Spain.
